A splash can make a speaker sound quiet or raspy. First limit further exposure and give moisture a path away from the opening.
Do these things first
- Remove the phone from water.
- Disconnect cables safely.
- Wipe the outside with a clean dry cloth.
- Set the phone in a dry, ventilated place.
Can a water-removal sound help?
A cleaning sound moves the speaker diaphragm and may push a small droplet through the grille. It cannot reach liquid deep inside the phone. Use the safe-use instructions.
What not to do
- No hair dryer, oven, or direct heat
- No pins, swabs, or rolled tissue
- No compressed air or added liquid
- No charging while a port may be wet
When repair is safer
Seek help for charging warnings, heat, swelling, odd smells, random shutdowns, screen problems, or persistent crackling.
